Concord was founded to bridge a gap in the market by applying institutional underwriting standards, operational rigor, and transparent investor communication to opportunities often overlooked by larger capital sources. Agility
Our nimble and unencumbered structure allows us to respond to evolving tenant demand and remain highly selective. We are not bound by overly rigid investment criteria that often screen out some of the best opportunities. We creatively pursue misunderstood, under-managed, or inefficient assets where we can do the hard work to unlock value often neglected by legacy ownership.
Investor Alignment
By co-investing GP equity alongside our investor partners, we ensure interest alignment, driving mutual success. We strongly believe that incentives matter, and we seek to avoid the conflicts of interest that can plague the CRE market while also taking advantage of the perverse incentives which routinely affect our counterparties.
Experience
With decades of combined real estate investment experience, our seasoned team brings institutional-level expertise and insight to opportunities, many that are too small or overlooked by professional investors.
Mr. Crowell has a depth of real estate experience spanning 18 years and over $550 million in acquisitions, a $650 million recapitalization including a $455 million loan with JPMorgan, and over $300 million in dispositions.
Prior to co-founding Concord, Mr. Crowell was a Managing Director at Brookwood Financial Partners, where he was responsible for discovering real estate opportunities and performing the financial analysis and due diligence required for the acquisition and operations of the portfolio. He led the structuring and negotiation of financing arrangements for the portfolio and was integral in functions across asset management, reporting, and dispositions.
Mr. Crowell graduated summa cum laude from Gordon College and holds an MBA from the Brandeis International Business School.
Mr. Janich’s career spans over 18 years in private equity, real estate, and investment management.
Prior to co-founding Concord, Mr. Janich was a Managing Director at Brookwood Financial Partners, where he was primarily responsible for Investor Relations, developing new sources of capital for Brookwood’s various opportunities, contributing to the development of Brookwood’s investment theses, and communicating with investors regarding asset operations and performance. Mr. Janich has been fortunate to be trusted with hundreds of millions in equity from investors, including institutional investors, Registered Investment Advisors, and high net worth individuals.
Mr. Janich is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, holds an MBA from George Mason University, is a CFA® Charterholder, and is a member of Mensa.
